In this video, we interview German economist Professor Richard Werner. Professor Werner explains his perspective on the recent national German election and what its outcome could mean for the German economy. Professor Werner provides an overview of his own research in the field of economics uncovering the real truth.

Professor Richard Werner is a former investment banker and university Professor in banking and finance. He holds a First Class Honours degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and a doctorate in Economics from the University of Oxford. He is a founding chair of Local First, a community interest company establishing not-for-profit community banks. Professor Werner’s book Princes of the Yen was a No. 1 bestseller in Japan. It has also been created into a documentary that has more than 2 million views on YouTube. In 1995, he coined the phrase “Quantitative Easing”, a concept that has become very popular among central bankers.
