How do you know that your voice is heard in the current government system?

Every time you send your ballot by mail or vote in person at your local precinct, you may think your vote counts. And it is important that you think that—but the idea that your voice is heard or that your vote counts is an illusion. In reality, what you think of as your vote is dismembered or fractionalized by election software (by design), or even cancelled by an illegally cast vote.

Before a remedy can be put forth, it's critical that everyone understands the truth of how elections are run in Minnesota: 1) the details of absentee mail-in ballots, 2) the features of election software and hardware, and 3) the functionality of the voter rolls and the Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS).

Underpinning these components of the election process are Minnesota's election statutes and the 2020 consent decrees ordered by Judge Sarah Grewing which changed the rules for absentee ballots, removing witness and signature requirements, likely contributing to the increase in absentee ballots to over 1.9 million (58 percent) in the November 3rd, 2020 General Election.
