A detail that turned from a Nightmare to a Success! When I first saw this 2016 Mustang GT and gave a quote on it, I told the owner that this UV Damaged vinyl stripe would come off with damage. Whether it be a lot or a little, it was going to be damaged either way. Which, he was totally understanding about, so we dove right into this car! After battling with the vinyl using plastic tools with a flat edge & my steamer, I was ready to tap out, but when I started cutting into the paint with my polisher the next day, I KNEW it was going to turn out amazing.

Once I did a test pass on the roof of the car, I knew my game plan for the car changed right then. "Turn the car into an insane example of glossiness, and it'll render the damage invisible. WHICH IS DID! It was wild how gorgeous this grey metallic paint can look when Cut & Refined.

To top everything off, we finally got to use some of Adams Graphene Coating, which, I will have to do another video giving my opinions on it, because it IS a great product, but I don't know if its all worth the hype. The flash time is iffy from my experience, it can be finicky to work with, but overall, for the price point, its a great product. I'd just prefer to spend an extra $20 and get some Crystal Serum Light or something. BUT I'll leave that for a Vlog, or another graphene video I have coming up in a few weeks!

Overall, I'd say we had some losses during this detail, but also some MAJOR wins! I was insanely happy with the outcome despite some of the vinyl damage. A nightmare turned good, can't ask for it to be any better. AND, I have to thank the owner a ton, because some people are NOT understanding of the condition of their vehicle thus, blaming everything on you, the detailer. But not this guy, this guy was insanely kind, understand, and an awesome dude. I hope to be able to continue to detail for him.
