Cow can sense danger. They are very smart and emotionally intelligent

Here’s the first post. Over the next month I’ll try do educational posts on everything dairy farming related!

“You exploit your cows”
“Dairy cows are abused”
“You can’t love you cows and be a dairy farmer”

They are all comments I get on the daily. And they make absolutely no sense to me.

If I exploited and abused my cows, would they be happy to fall asleep in my arms?

I don’t think so.

If a cow felt abused, she wouldn’t trust me. Therefore she wouldn’t be friendly. And she certainly wouldn’t let me sit on the ground and cuddle her.

Cows can sense danger. They are so smart and emotionally intelligent. If they thought they were exploited and abused, there’s no way in hell they would come anywhere near me.

On farm, I have over 100 friendly animals. They will get excited to see me, come find me themselves when I enter their paddock and genuinely enjoy being in my company.

They don’t feel abused, and that’s simply because they’re not. They trust me, and see me as a friend.

I know my dairy cows enjoy their life’s. I make sure they’re all happy and healthy every single day. They know I love and care about them.

I think it’s pretty obvious from my photos that my cows love their life’s and me. Y’all can tell me all you like that I exploit my cows, they don’t enjoy their life’s and I don’t love them but it’s not true.

I know the dairy industry isn’t perfect, but it’s certainly a lot better than some people make it out to be!! There are so many dairy farmers out there like myself who genuinely love their cows 🥰
