Description

Over this course, we’ll learn some of the basics about Nagios XI. In this class, we’ll talk about some of the following topics:
A look at Nagios XI and the features it has.
Admin and user accounts can be set up for different types of new users. This includes setting up new admin and user accounts.
In this case, you’ll be setting up new alerts for hosts and services on your network.
Checking the status of hosts and services that have been set up and responding to any alerts that show up on the console’s main screen.
Scheduling downtime so that alerts don’t send out emails that they don’t need to.
Nagios XI’s auto-discovery feature makes it easy to set up alerts.
A look at the different types of data views and how they are used.
Also, this course is an overview of the Admin settings menu, which is broken up into three separate lectures because it is so big. All of these lectures are at the end of the course.
Please keep in mind that this course is for people who are just starting out in IT. You would be part of a larger IT team where the server admins would be taking care of backups and patching, but tasks like backing up virtual machines on hypervisors are outside the scope of the course but are important for an organization’s network.
