Ep. 5 | 2021 Heartland 50 Miler (DNF) | Cassoday, Kansas

Running the fall edition of the 2021 Heartland 50 mile ultra marathon. This race was held on Saturday 9 October 2021 in Cassoday, KS with multiple distance options (marathon, 50 mile, 100k, 100 mile, and 125 mile). A total of 15 runners ran the 50 miler, and I was one of the 4 that did not finish (DNF). I ultimately dropped out at mile 42 due to heat exhaustion.
