Top SD leader kicked out of parliament after Expo article
Long-time MP Roger Richthoff is being dropped from the Sweden Democrats' parliamentary list after left-wing extremist magazine Expo accused him of spreading pro-Russian propaganda. This is reported by newsagency TT. Roger Richthoff is a member of the parliaments defence committee and until last November was the SD's defence policy spokesperson. On Monday, left-wing extremist magazine Expo published an article about Richthoff spreading a video on Facebook about the US funding biological labs in Ukraine.
"Although some of it is questionable credibility, it is a fact that both the president of Ukraine and the US, denied all allegations of bio-labs in Ukraine. Now that bubble has burst," the SD politician wrote when he shared the video on March 20. According to Expo, the clip interviews a person who says that we should "thank Russia for revealing this to the world and for destroying these labs". The paper further claims that the video is "anti-Semitic". Commenting to Expo, Roger Richthoff said:
- You have your agenda, you are a left-wing extremist magazine. It doesn't matter what I say, you write exactly what you think anyway. You're making nonsense. I think you're pathetic, write that, but you won't. In a written comment to TT, SD group leader Henrik Vinge says that Richthoff has been removed from SD's list of MPs for this autumn's elections after Expos was published.
"It is sad to see a knowledgeable and experienced person embarrassed in this way. He will not be given renewed confidence and will have to leave parliament in connection with the election," Vinge writes to TT.
