This is the "Get Home Bag" I keep in the Tahoe. From time to time you hear of someone getting stranded and living off of ketchup packets or walking to the nearest gas station in shorts during a snow storm. If something were to happen to the world while you were away from home, do you have the supplies to sustain yourself for that long walk? If you were at work and got snowed in for a day or two, could you based on what is in your vehicle?

Recently I went camping and the cord of my tent pole snapped. My buddy said, "That sucks, now what?". I simply said, "I'm going to get some bungee cord from my bag". It took us a while to thread the new cord but, the tent went up and the world was saved.

I am always looking for ways to make the contents of this bag smaller, lighter, and of better quality without spending a small fortune. If you have any ideas please, put them in the comments below.
