Seventies Fuel Crisis Redux

Everything that goes around, comes back around and this Segue City Special is no different... it's like "Do ya enjoy paying $5 a gallon for gas?" Brings back bad memories of the Seventies and even 2009, doesn't it? But like Sammy Hager said in his song, "I can't drive 55"... The Mayor agrees and so do we... so it's pedal to the metal including the Tower of Power.

Segue City will be a recurring short-form programming element of "The Big Kahuna" - one of GET's developmental Internet Radio formats created by Dain Schult. It will also be expanded as a part of that format and finally evolve into a full, long-form programming element on its own. It’s all a part of GET’s radio division – American Internet & Radio (“AIR”).

The feature will be available for integration into other AIR Classic Rock terrestrial stations in the future as well. It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...

At least that’s the idea… your mileage may vary, check with your dealer; so, you don’t forget order before midnight; operators standing by for your important call; Our talent is on loan from God. We just pray He'll let us finish another segue for tomorrow... We just pray He'll let us finish another segue for tomorrow... if you liked today's segue, our Mayor is known as the Silver Haired Man of Rock n' Roll. If you didn't like it, it's because of Larry Alexander, Larry O'Neal, Terrence Coats, Rodney Ho or even Jim Morrison - the gremlins running around.

This feature is a three-time winner of the Thomas J. Duke Memorial Music Segue and BBQ Cook-Off Award.
