Montreal Walk ♫ with Canada's Most Famous Hymn: "What A Friend We Have in Jesus"

Stroll along Boulevard René-Lévesque and take in the nightime sights (such as Place Ville Marie, the colourful lit-up Canadian Olympic House...) while listening to Canada's most famous hymns, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." Here it is sung by Brittney Phelan. What a Friend We Have in Jesus" is a hymn written by Canadian preacher Joseph M. Scriven, of Port Hope, in 1855 to comfort his mother, who was living in Ireland while he was in Canada. It is our most famous hymn world-wide - that is, a hymn written by a Canadian that is the most well-known in the world.

You will especially notice that Montreal now has its very own Canadian Olympic House (sports development activities and services for athletes and coaches.) Visitors can see permanently lit rings from the sky as they fly over Montreal and the north face of the new Canadian Olympic House has become a giant projection screen.
