Houston Children Abandoned, 3 Kids Found Abandoned in Texas Apartment with Skeletal Remains. The mother of three children who were found living in an abandoned apartment with the skeletal remains of their 8-year-old sibling has been questioned and released, the Harris County Sheriff's Office confirms.

On Sunday, the Harris County Sheriff's Department said officers responded to an apartment complex in Houston where the three kids were found abandoned in an apartment, with "skeletal remains ... were also found inside the unit."

The kids were ages 15, 10 and 7, and had been left alone "for an extended period of time."
