Thanks to Andy Turner for posting a link to this Broadside for this week's #TradSongtues theme of #Spring.

I can't tell if I love or hate the way this song is so full of classic ballad tropes.

I took the liberty of changing the last verse, as it just seems a terrible ending and doesn't even rhyme. My guess is that this ballad, from the early 1800s was written on the theme of Nancy having a sailor love who goes away to sea in earlier 1700s ballads.
