American dystopia: how to defeat car-jacking tutorial

The criminals attempt to box you into a no-exit situation, here, a concrete underpass. The criminals lead you in and stop so that you are between two pillars. The criminals' car is in front of you. The criminals descend from both sides of their vehicle, as can be seen here, and approach on both sides of your vehicle.

One solution, seen here, is to gun your engine and drive straight between the criminals' car and the bridge wall. In the instant case, the criminals left the passenger door ajar in their rush to rob you. Their door is no match for an accelerating vehicle such as yours. Don't look back.

The important thing here is that when faced with impending violent attack you are justified in law to do anything you can to escape. The criminals have already taken the law into their own hands. For you the innocent party in this momentarily lawless state, anything goes.
