Christofferson Does Not Teach the Baptism of Fire and Holy Ghost When He Talks About Faith in Christ

At the October 2018 LDS church general conference, D. Todd Christofferson says that the gospel of Jesus Christ must penetrate one’s heart and soul, so that it becomes the defining focus of our life and character. Where is his explanation of how we are suppose to do this? He does not teach us what we need to do to achieve it, which is applying the Doctrine of Christ in our lives.

Then he says, "with God, comfort replaces pain, peace replaces turmoil and hope replaces sorrow". But he does not say anything about how this occurs and how we need to come unto Christ with a broken heart and contrite spirit to receive the Baptism of Fire and the Holy Ghost, which is a one-time event and does not occur at our LDS confirmation.

Finally, D. Todd Christofferson says, "the promised healing is the cleansing and sanctification of our sin-wounded souls, making us holy". He says nothing about the true Doctrine of Christ and how His healing atonement cleanses and sanctifies us through the Baptism of Fire and the Holy Ghost.

Espíritu Santo cuando habla de la fe en Cristo. En la conferencia general de la iglesia SUD de octubre de 2018, D. Todd Christofferson dice que el evangelio de Jesucristo debe penetrar el corazón y el alma de uno, para que se convierta en el enfoque definitorio de nuestra vida y carácter. ¿Dónde está su explicación de cómo se supone que debemos hacer esto? Él no nos enseña nada acerca de cómo lograrlo. No nos enseña lo que debemos hacer para lograrlo, que es aplicar la Doctrina de Cristo en nuestra vida.

Luego dice, "con Dios, el consuelo reemplaza al dolor, la paz reemplaza a la confusión y la esperanza reemplaza al dolor". Pero él no dice nada acerca de cómo ocurra esto y cómo debemos venir a Cristo con un corazón quebrantado y contrito para recibir el Bautismo de Fuego y el Espíritu Santo, que es un evento único y no ocurre en nuestra confirmación SUD.

Finalmente, D. Todd Christofferson dice: "La curación prometida es la limpieza y santificación de nuestras almas heridas por el pecado, haciéndonos sagrados". No dice nada sobre la verdadera Doctrina de Cristo y cómo Su expiación sanadora nos limpia y santifica a través del Bautismo de Fuego y el Espíritu Santo.
