Baby Chicks Eating For The First Time

These chicks hatched the other day, but today I move them to a big brooder house. They then got to eat their first dry chick mash and drink water for their first time.

When the baby's hatch I always put a bowl of wet rich mash in the house so that way they can start eating right away. Only when I move them into the big house do I give them dry mash and water separate. I just find they do better for their first day outside of the egg eating wet rich mash.
