Dystopian Wars Kongo Battlefleet - How well do they paint up?

I managed to actually get the battlefleet box painted! That is actually an accomplishment for me these days. But while I wanted them to look like the studio paint job, I was overwhelmed trying to follow how they painted them.

So I came up with my own plan. How well do you think I pulled it off?
