Craig and Brianna discuss the mass insanity around the launch of the Swatch LTD MoonSwatch collection. There have been reports that these watches are selling for thousands of dollars more than list price. There were long lines of camping out to buy these watches on release day. There are actual enthusiasts who are big fans of these watches. I also heard a report first hand of an individual selling a stunning Grand Seiko SBGY002 18k yellow Gold dress watch to replace it with a MoonSwatch. Some have said that the MISSION TO THE SUN watch actually looks like it is 18k yellow Gold. This is quite simply delusional. You could even say bonkers! The watches look like a cheap child's watch but they cost almost $300. Swatch is making a killing selling these watches direct to suckers who are feeding in to the hype and resulting mass hysteria. Some are smart enough to resell these watches at a significant profit. Others who don't sell soon enough are going to be left holding the bag when the market value of these watches crashes.
