This video was completely unplanned. I had no intention of watching The Oscars. I was playing Mario Kart Wii instead. However, I saw this clip from The Academy Awards involving Will Smith assaulting Chris Rock. I thought that this was something that a fan put together. Then, I saw NBC, The Guardian, and even ABC post this clip and briefly talk about it. I knew then it wasn't some internet fakery. I don't understand how this helps The Academy Awards and their perception. They just went from Prestigious Award Show to Freakshow
