Kindness of Animals - what an urban #fox & her baby cubs has taught me about the meaning of #LIFE

Now that Ajax has had her babies' time to get a bit 'Circle of Lifey' spiritual so I thought I would use AjaxTV+ to briefly examine what we can learn of kindness from our relationships with animals and what they can teach us. Lockdown gave many of us time for inner reflection and nature in all its magnificent glory didn't disappoint. In my case, I got blessed with foxes and here we are....

The wonderful talking head is Professor Donald Broom, who is an English biologist and emeritus professor of animal welfare at Cambridge University who examines compassionate behaviour in animal species, from basic parental care to wide-ranging compassion and collaboration between groups of species, with the example of beautiful and caring elephants.

And for the conclusion, we end with the final scene of one of my favourite movies and Peter Sellers's last one, "Being There" and the verse from Ecclesiastes which I read at my mother's funeral and some may remember from the qoute at the opening of Oliver Stone's movie Platoon - "Rejoice O young man in thy youth ".

Sometimes the most profound answers are the simplest ones. Well, that's my take anyway...and in the case of Ajax and her babies time to Rejoice ..........
