Partaking in the LORD's Supper Unworthily? Do Believers Need to Fear?! | Mental Health Monday

"Did I partake in the LORD's supper unworthily?" has become a question that plagues many who suffer from intrusive thinking, specifically those who have scrupulosity. This fear comes from the passage of the Bible that says that those who do so drinking damnation unto themselves (1 Corinthians 11:29). In doing so, many sit out of the LORD's supper fearing they are caught up in an unrepentant sin, meaning they should not partake in the LORD's supper. Is this Biblical though?

On this week's Mental Health Monday, Jack (ChristianConvos) and I take a deep dive into this topic, look at the context of 1 Corinthians 11, explain why a believer should not fear this judgement, speak from personal experiences, and provide insight on how to combat these intrusive thoughts in order to bring you assurance that you have been unable to have until now.
