I've tried nearly every break in method people have come up with, and then I've tried my own and I've found that the majority of what people are doing is totally unnecessary and even at times can cause damage to the barrel. I also talk a bit about how I clean barrels.

The latest craze is centered around this mysterious carbon ring that some claim can destroy barrels and special tools and harsh chemicals must be used to get rid of it. More non-sense. That and crazy cleaning rituals can destroy an otherwise good barrel.

This video is based on my first hand experience and are my opinions. As with all advice, take it or leave it, I don't profess to be the arbiter of all things gun related.
