China-basher Matthew Tye aka Laowhy86 claims to have the “smoking gun” providing anyone saying anything positive about China are paid to make their videos.

In fact, all he proved is that CGTN operates in the same way as other media organizations around the globe and that the two examples he provides are videos that were actually already made and simply licensed to CGTN.
