F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin (2009) was developed by Monolith and published by Warner Bros Int.

FEAR 2 is a horror themed FPS with great gameplay and a creepy atmosphere. While a general improvement over it's predecessor, FEAR 2 is better in some ways and worse in others. This installment will be more at home with people that enjoy CoD's brand of FPS games, while I prefer the feel of the original. Unlike the first title the maps are no longer confusing but also give you zero reason to explore unless you are into the game lore. Firefights are flashier in FEAR 2, but lack the brutality and speed of the first entry. Pacing is better in this installment and they even threw in some nice mech levels! Being a casualty of trends during this time period it features minigames because every other game was doing it (FEAR 3 continues this trend), which is a bad sign the developer is running out of ideas.

I will give my rating for the game once it is completed based off of my new and simple rating system. The game will get one of five ratings based solely on my experience while playing through it: Horrible (rare rating), Bad, Average, good, and Great (rare rating).
