1: Joey Gase has announced the formation of Joey Gase Racing, which will field the number 35 Ford Mustang full time during the '22 Xfinity Season. Sponsors and drivers will be announced at a later date.

2: Alpha Prime Racing (Formerly Martins Motorsports) will field an additional car in select races in 2022.

3. Alpha Prime Co-owner Ceasar Baccarella is in NASCAR's road to recovery program after taking vitamins containing a substance on NASCAR's list of Banned Substances. Bacarella is fully cooperating.

4. RSS Racing will return to a two car team, reviving the 38 team in 2022.

5. Jeffrey Earnhardt is out at JD Motorsports. Earnhardt has not announced any plans, and JD has said nothing regarding the 0 team.

6. Williams out at DGM. Josh Williams was revealed not to be returning to DGM Racing in 2022. DGM currently plans on running two cars in 2022.

7. Mike Harmon and the 74 team hit with large penalties after apparently participating in an exhibition race at Rockingham with the 74 car, which NASCAR saw as a violation kf their testing policy. Harmon has been docked 75 owner and driver points and fined $50,000, and crew chief Ryan Bell has been suspended 6 races. The penalties will be assessed at the start of the 2022 season, should the team's penalties be upheld. Harmon is appealing.

8. Spire Motorsports announced that they are going truck racing in 2022. Driver, number and sponsors have yet to be announced.
