"Hello, I live in Mariupol, my name is Ekaterina Zaharova. On 2 March we went down to a basement, there were only few families there. As shelling intensified more and more people joined us. By 25 March we got out of the basement, but only 28 people instead of 30 did. One day before that, at 3:15 on March 24th, my son and my son-in law, Alyosha and Serezha were shot, most probably by AFU snipers.

I wasn't allowed there, men from our group checked the scene and told me. I didn't get to say goodbye to my son (she means seeing his body) because there was intense shelling. We didn't allow them to go up but they took the risk. They went to the apartment to get some water (as we were out of water), get the cat and get the guitar because little girls were scared and crying. They left and never came back."
