In this episode of the Route 66 Adventure we conclude Lexington and filmed the many Route 66 spurs. A spur is an old alignment that leads to a dead end, and these were created every time they created a more direct route. In Bloomington we visited their museum, run by Jeff Woodard, and spoke to an early old road cop, Chester Di Henry, who shared his story on the witness stand. From there we went to Atlanta Ill where the mayor, William Thomas, gave me the opportunity to be the keeper of the clock for one day.
