Chatham Square Radiant Blue Sapphire: Lab grown square radiant blue sapphire

Chatham created square radiant blue sapphires are just as beautiful as some of the worlds most valuable mined sapphires. Blue sapphires are doubly refractive and often exhibit pleochroism…the visible display of different body colors from different crystal directions in a gem. Typically, Chatham created blue sapphires show violet and blue pleochroic colors.

We stock Chatham square radiant blue sapphires in medium tone, but some light and dark tones may be available. Medium tone is considered top color. The medium tone blue sapphires have a gorgeous blue body color with slight violetish undertones. They also have nice light return.

Chatham lab grown blue sapphires are not cheap flame fusion sapphires. They grow in the natural crystal habit, shown left, in a controlled environment. Because they are carefully grown, you can expect your Chatham square radiant cut blue sapphire to have gorgeous color and consistent quality.
