SHOW YOURSELF GOD! / PB's Coffee Break

Dear Pastor Bob: You say that God loves us and wants to meet us. At first, I was asking God for things to do... like "his plan" for me. And I still do. But the more I read the New Testament and pray, the more I really want to meet Jesus. A TRUE personal encounter with Jesus and a true relationship. I've been asking Jesus to show himself to me. The Bible tells us to ask "in faith" and it will happen. And if you have a desire to meet God himself - that desire is from God. I've literally been praying for and "expecting" a bright light and Jesus personally stepping into my room while being in prayer. I've been expecting to see and meet angels. But... nothing happens. I've been praying for months about that. Why can't I expect Jesus to meet me personally in a vision? If I desire a personal encounter with Jesus in the spiritual world - shouldn't God want that?
