Not all of the B'nai Elohim rebelled the first time. Though Satan failed at halting the Messianic bloodline the first time, he's always going to try to halt the people of God through modern ways. The devil is trying to desensitize us to certain ideas and concepts so that when things do occur, it's going to happen right under our noses and we won't even be aware.
