Ezekiel was called as a watchman to the House of Israel. A watchman was a sentry, standing upon the city's walls, especially at night, to see if the enemy came while everyone was asleep. Ezekiel was a special kind of prophetic watchman. We are also called to be watchmen and to support Israel.
