Join us as we continue to share ways we learn how to enjoy hiking as a family, teaching our kids to appreciate the outdoors and build family memories.

If you're interested in hiking this winter but don't know where to start, grab the Winter Hiking Checklist to make sure you bring along all the essentials, and maybe a couple comfort items as well!

We hiked Castlewood Canyon located in Franktown, Colorado in early February. This was not our first time here, and certainly not our last. (it's one of our favorite hikes)

Hiking is one way we've learned to spend time together and have fun in unique ways.

You can see how we cope with the cold and deal with mistakes that happen along the way…

like little kids who slip and fall…

snacks on the go…

and other tips for hiking in the winter as a family.

If you have ever thought you can't hike as family… think again.

We didn't for years and now we are learning how to as a family of 9 with a teen and a toddler, and lots in between.
