Braw Burn the Bridges by Guy Gullane (Cover)

I was first introduced to this song by Triantan:

Roy Gullane (of the Tannahil Weavers) recently recorded his song here:

And the version from the weavers 1990 album, Cullen Bay:

Some Scots phrases/words from the song:
Braw: Well/Good
Yestreen: Night before Last
Wimplin: Winding
Rin the Gless: Use up allotted time
Road was Haudin Frae : The Road is keeping him from
Luesome - Lovable/Pleasant (not loathsome, that's a different song)
Leeze - Pleasing (not clear in the context of the line)

I had always assumed this was a Burns poem. I cannot quite tell if it is a
song about mourning for a lost love, or a song about burning the
bridges after leaving a love best forgotten.
