March 25th is the day of the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive and bear the Messiah of the world. Where does this come from? How long has the church observed this day? Why should we recall it every year? Father Jeremiah talks about these questions in this new video.

The text of the collect for this day is:
Pour your grace into our hearts, O Lord, that we who have known the incarnation of your Son Jesus Christ, announced by an angel to the Virgin Mary, may by his cross and passion be brought to the glory of his resurrection; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Father Jeremiah is the rector of Grace Anglican Church in Gastonia, NC. Grace Anglican is a church that is intentionally liturgical and desires to show people the beauty of the liturgy in daily life. We want people to learn how to serve Jesus through the various vocations he has placed each of us in. These vocations are the God-given places of our lives where we can truly love and serve our neighbors. The liturgy connects to our vocations by shaping us to see and love the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in our serving those we encounter in our daily lives.

Grace Anglican is a multi-generational, growing congregation that thrives on building relationships with all those who enter her doors. We worship every Sunday at 10am at 800 Robinson Rd, Gastonia, NC. Come and visit and discover the joy of liturgical worship and being sent to love and serve in our vocations.
