MZTV 928: Israel is Blinded So That We Might See

The heralding of the truths to the body of Christ begins in Acts chapter 13 when the holy spirit separates Barnabas and Saul for the work God has for them. Soon after, the pair arrives in Paphos of Cyprus, encountering a Jewish magician, Bar Jesus, who seeks to dissuade the Cypriot proconsul from hearing the Word of God via Paul. (It is here that Saul's name is changed to Paul.) Paul blinds Bar Jesus "until the appointed time," at which time the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, receives the message of Paul, becoming the first man of the nations to be called into the body of Christ. This, then, becomes a type of what God does with all of Israel and all the nations, as described by Paul in Romans chapter 11.
