Puzzled About Revelation: Part 19: The Image of the Beast (Rev. 13:11-15)

As we return to our study of the Book of Revelation, we are going to skip ahead and jump into chapter 13 for the next few weeks to look at "The Image of the Beast" (this week) and "The Mark of the Beast" (next week). These are two very controversial subjects, but I believe the Holy Spirit is currently illuminating these texts in unprecedented ways!
This week: What is the "image of the Beast" and how is it connected to the image of God? How is it connected to false worship and the "mark of the beast"? The Bible says that those who refuse to worship the image will be killed, and those who do worship it will suffer eternal death. Clearly, this is a matter of eternal significance!
