A very common fault on the VW T4 door locking mechanism is dropping the door pull. All that has happened is a very small spring has broken or fallen out. Either way, this quick tutorial will show you where the spring came from and how quickly and easily you can make and install a new spring.

Here a new spring has been made using an old keyring. As it seems that you cannot buy the spring as a separate unit and you have to buy the whole lock. Which seems crazy for something that is so simple to fix with the right knowledge.
