Was Don Jr. having a private conversation with me?

A very strange thing happened to me this afternoon on Telegram when I received a private message from, supposedly, "Don Jr." commenting that I had left a comment on his private chat for his followers.
I don't understand why it's private when he has it open to the public and anyone can enter to give his free opinion.
Personally, I didn't like that he told me that... It's his fault for leaving the comments open to the public.
I left him a good private message but he still hasn't answered me.
I told him that both CodeMonkeyZ and Jovan both blocked me because they think I'm a bot or a spam or a troll.
Why has he come to tell me that in private? Doesn't he defend freedom of expression?
Also, as I have been saying, I am very cautious when following an account. I don't trust fake accounts or the conversations of others who are impersonating Don Jr. precisely because they create a false atmosphere of hope.
