Kissizi Hospital Needs Vehicles

Situated in Rukungiri District, the Kisiizi Hospital was opened in 1958 by missionary John Sharp but is now run by the North Kigezi Diocese of the Church of Uganda. The hospital is a private non-profit institution in a particularly poor rural community, which means that only 40% of the costs of the hospital are funded by patients. Kisiizi hospital helps up to 700 people a month.

As people in Rukungiri District cannot afford their vehicles or are too sick to travel, Kisiizi hospital often picks them up and bring them back home. The Hospital needs urgent funding to upgrade or buy an ambulance, a Hiace minibus, a ten-ton truck & a motorcycle.
