Roosters are so annoying

Roosters are so annoying and scary. I went in the pen yesterday and being naive once again he attacked me from behind, I am screaming at the top of my lungs. My husband said just kick him a good shot and he won't do it anymore, well when he is flapping his wings and trying to get me with sharp feet its a little hard to kick. So far every breed of chicken I raised ended up mean, even tho we were around them all their lives.
