Shea butter is fat extracted from the nuts of the shea trees, originating in Africa. I've read that you can eat it, which sounds interesting and please let me know if any of you have eaten it. You can put it on your body as a thick, rich "lotion"/body butter. I've also read you can put it in your hair (but I haven't really looked into it, so please do your own research if you decide to try that). Shea butter contains fatty acids and vitamins that helps to soften skin.
