Why I Take My Kids to Church, Ex-Evangelical, parenting as a non-Christian, children's church for me

Should I take my kids to church to raise spiritual kids?
I'm not a Christian anymore but go to church. And as an ex-evangelical it’s a process to decide how to raise spiritual kids when you’re secular. I don’t think the Bible is literal anymore but I want my kids to respect those who do.

As a former evangelical Christian, I have a complicated and openhearted perspective on going to church.

There is room for everyone when you're no longer stuck in legalistic parenting, fundamentalist parenting, or evangelical parenting.
So why go to church when you don't believe?
Why send kids to church?

I think there needs to be a foundational understanding of Christianity, especially living in America.

When we teach the basics, we can move beyond them.

I believe the more we can expand and include who we were and who we are then we can be more satisfied in our lives.
