Get Home Bag

This is my "get home" bag! This is a kit I have kept in my car and have had for over a decade. A get home bag, to me, is a state of mind. This bag is home wherever I may roam. Food, water, shelter and gear for when it is needed. I know, an ALICE pack is outdated but it was available at the time! Not everything will be perfect, available or in you budget, so we make choices that are suitable.

This is not a bug out bag. This is designed and intended to be used in my vehicle. So when you have a flat tire, get stuck in a snow storm, or need bug spray for a barbecue, the bag is nearby. If you need shelter, food or water it's there. If I am out and about and forgot something in my EDC, I might have a similar item that I can pull from this.

There is no radio, map or compass as location is irrelevant to its use and purpose. A radio may have a home in a different bag. And that would serve a different purpose. There is no multi-tool.... that's a rant for another day.
