I filmed this take-off from Milan airport because I like to travel by plane and especially the take-off part. I wanted to share with you this wonderful feeling that we experience when the plane takes off. Waiting for the moment to start, the plane running on the runway, the speed with which it moves higher and higher and finally the long-awaited moment: detachment from the runway, the moment when you sink into the seat and squeeze its handles until your fingers hurt, your ears are clogged, you feel a void in your stomach and you see how the earth is left behind, houses, cars and streets are getting smaller and smaller and you are up, up, up and surrounded only by clouds and peace. A wonderful feeling that I wanted you to live with me.
