Why is a cat named Siamese?

Due to the unique color: dark paws, tail, ears, muzzle and light flexible body it's hard to mix up Siamese cat with any other breed. Eyes of Siamese are blue, as if "tinted" with shadows, giving it a kind of mystery.
A native of the beauty of Thailand, which in former times was called Siam.
For a long time, the law forbade to export the animal from the country, this cat was considered sacred.
Later, the king gave the kittens to the British Consul, and the breed began to spread in Europe and beyond.
Siamese cats are curious and playful, they like to "talk" with their owners in feline language, expressing their feelings with the sounds of different tones.
Cats of this breed do not like noise and bustle, they do not tolerate when someone invades their personal space.
