Major music streaming platforms once again sued and targeted by multiple separate lawsuits due to patent violations.

Post Media Systems, LLC, once again targets Apple Music, Pandora and Spotify for patent violations held by SoniClear owner and software developer, Alan Bartholomew which relates to the transfer of data over network.

This will be the 2nd time that Post Media will be suing Spotify for patent infringement since 2016 along with iHeartMedia. For Apple, this won’t be the first time they will be sued for a patent violation since the case with Personal Audio, LLC where the Texas Jury awarded Personal Audio $8 million.

Patents such as 310, describes the process of transferring data such as music from a web page server to a media file server for an individual to access. In short, audio streaming websites of all kinds are likely targets of these lawsuits.

Major streaming companies have the option to also reach a settlement instead as a safe option the cost and time involved with fighting these lawsuits.
