Fernando Del Valle''s neighbor reported a loud argument, but no sounds of violence. The neighbor also reported that it seem to them that the woman in the argument was the aggressor.

The police responded to this as a potential domestic violence incident. The police kicked in the door (!) to find Mr. Del Valle alone, lying on his bed on the phone. The police ordered Mr. Del Valle to get up, but he stated he was on the phone with a lawyer. The police tried to take away the phone, but Mr. Del Valle attempted to prevent this.

The police then responded by hitting Mr. Del Valle with both a baton and a taser, who, lest we forget, was lying on his back, on his bed at the time, posing no threat to anyone.
