Transgender rights of a 4 month old VS great-grandparents adoption

In Washington state, some great-grandparents wanted to adopt their own great grandchild, who was four months old. The state said no because the great-grandparents did not support the transgender rights of their great-granddaughter. Who was four months old. Transgender rights. Four month old.

Nope, no how many times I repeat the words, it doesn't make any more sense.
