MZTV 924: Is a Husband's First Line of Ministry His Wife?

The Acts 28:28 position of Clyde Pilkington and Stephen Hill declares that we are now living in a different era than what Paul described as "[the limited] era" in 1 Corinthians 7:29. The Acts 28:28 theory supposes that only Paul's later letters (written from a Roman prison) are for the body of Christ. The rest of Paul's letters (1 & 2 Corinthians, 1&2 Thessalonians, Galatians and Romans) belong to Israel. This theory eliminates from the body of Christ the snatching away of 1 Thessalonians as well as the truth concerning this current era (that it is limited, or "being wrapped up"), taught by Paul in 1 Corinthians 7:29.

In 1 Corinthians 7:29, Paul wrote that "the era is limited." Since Clyde and Stephen don't believe this letter applies to us—while believing at the same time that Paul inaugurated a "new era" after rebuffing the Jews (again) in Acts 28:28—then we are now living in an era that is "unlimited," and our focus should therefore NOT be on the return of Christ, but on raising families—and God help anyone who does NOT have a family, because he or she can never life the high spiritual life that God (and Paul) wants for us in this so-called "unlimited era."
