Shout out to @Dr Dray, @Cassandra Bankson, and @Dr. Gary Motykie for there recent medical videos which helped me to understand the medical issues in play. Hyaluron Pens are a recent tik tok trend that encourages young people to use an unsanctioned medical device and inject unknown substances into their lips. As will surprise no one, the substances in these pens have turned out to be WD-40, Industrial Rubber, and Caulk, among other substances. There are serious medical risks, and influencers are facing potential legal liability under 21 USC 331 (https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/21/331). Let's discuss.
