Last EU diplomat to leave Mariupol describes tragedy

Greece's consul general in Mariupol, the last EU diplomat to evacuate the besieged Ukrainian port, said on Sunday (March 20) the city was joining the ranks of places known for having been destroyed in wars of the past. “What I saw, I hope no one will ever see, “ said 41 year old Manolis Androulakis, as he hugged his wife Aselina and seven month old son after arriving at Athens international airport.
